The standard minimum climb gradient is 200' per mile
Check the ODP for anything different
How much is that in feet/minute (FPM) depends upon your groundspeed
Groundspeed / 60 x climb gradient = climb rate in FPM
If your groundspeed is 120 knots
120 / 60 = 2
2 x 200 = 400 FPM required for 200'/mile
If your groundspeed is 150 knots
150 / 60 = 2.5
2.5 x 200 = 500 FPM required for 200'/mile |
