Download the approach plates:
- Go to http://pdfplates.com
- At that website, Click "Download PDFPlates"
- Click the proper date for your current plates.
Note the number is the full edition and the other is a compact edition
- Go to the bottom of the next page and click the book
you want or the state you want.
- Save the book when it comes up.
To print or find an approach
- Go to bookmarks on the pdf file and click the + for
the state you want.
- Scroll to the airport you want and click + on
it
- When you click an approach, it will give the page
number at the top of the PDF screen
Here is what works for my Canon printer:
- Don't click the print icon, Go to File then Print….
- Put in the pages you want printed.
- Using a dash between
page numbers will give all the pages between those 2 pages
- A comma
will give just the pages listed.
- The trick!
- On the print page,
- do landscape,
- do the drop
down for Page Scaling and select "Multiple pages per sheet"
- Select "Pages per sheet" as 2
- "Page Order" as
Horizontal. It prints 2 pages per side.
The AOPA IAP site will tell you if an approach has
changed.
